Yesterday finally Orion´s Belt 2.0 was launched in Open Beta.

This is one of my favorite web game ever. It’s a Sci-fi MMO played in a browser. What makes him different are the battles: they are played in a board (similar to chess).

When I started playing Orion’s Belt (back in the first version) it striked me as a great game. Had it all: you could manage an empire and battle your opponents.

But Orion’s Belt also had one major difference to all the leading games in the market (like Travian or Ogame): you had to fight your own battles. That means that tactics are the most important thing (or one of the most important). In other words Orion’s Belt is different because it’s a trully tactical MMO where the battles are played like a chess game.

Since then I quited playing most web games due to lack of time. Orion’s Belt is still the one that I play (unfortunately not as much has I would like).

Já começou um dos momentos mais esperado por mim nos últimos tempos. O Orion’s Belt 2.0 já entrou em fase de testes Alpha.

Ainda está numa fase de testes muito inicial mas o que vi até agora gostei. Existem novas funcionalidades nas unidades e os combates a 4 são uma das novidades mais esperadas.

É certo que ainda existe muito para fazer e ainda ocorrem alguns bugs. Mas os testes são mesmo para isso.

Já começou o desenvolvimento do Orion’s Belt 2.0. Parece que está a demorar um pouco mais do que inicialmente estava previsto, mas espero em breve poder trazer mais novidades.

Quanto a vocês não sei, mas eu mal posso esperar.
